This course provides you with the ideal starting point to gain a career in the varied and creative role of beauty therapy. It is the minimum qualification Elite International recommends for working in the beauty therapy industry.
What will I learn on the course?
You will be provided with a mix of practical and theory-based learning opportunities to target specific industry skills.
What will I gain from the course?
The course will equip you to start working in the beauty therapy industry with the required skills and experience across an extensive range of beauty therapy treatments. You may also choose to complete ITEC, CIBTAC and CIDESCO qualifications during the course –all of which are internationally recognised qualifications. This will provide further employment opportunitiesfor you in New Zealand and around the world.
How long is the course?
You will complete the course in 12 months.
Entry Requirements
Elite International requires all enrolling students to be at IELTS level 5.5 English or recognised equivalent. At Elite International we believe your desire to achieve is far more important than previous performance.We therefore encourage you to apply whether or not you have schoolqualifications. In order to enroll you must be 18 years of age or over. An interest in science, nutrition, biology or communications will be an advantage but is not essential.
International Students must be in possession of a student visa,travel and medical insurance which must be valid for the entire duration of their course of study. This documentation must be provided on the day of enrollment.

Your employment opportunities will be further enhanced if you go on to complete the Spa component of our Diploma in Beauty & Spa Therapies. This will round out your skills as a beauty therapist and create more employment opportunities for you within the beauty therapy industry.
Course components
Beautician
Health and hygiene,cleansing, analysis, massage, masks,electrical machines, make-up, eye lash and brow treatments, manicures,pedicures and waxing, professional practice and conduct, skin diseases and disorders, business studies, chemistry, physics and anatomy and Physiology of the head face and neck.
Body Therapy
Exercise, figure analysis, electrical treatments for slimming and toning, anatomy and physiology of all systems of the body, Swedish massage and nutrition.
Epilation
Full electrolysis hair removal treatment.
Tuition fees and compulsory course costs include:
